Big thanks to Jean Martirez from Fox Morning News Los Angeles for inviting me on to speak to the fans of Los Angeles. Jean saw my interview on KTLA last week and emailed me asking "what do we have to do to get you on our show?" which I thought was pretty cool. All you have to do is ask, Jean!
Here's the segment that we did. It was fun and I'm starting to feel a little more comfortable on camera. Maybe it's the dumb Manny Ramirez wig that I got to hide behind for this one!? Who knows. Thanks to Evan D. for the interview coaching. Just breathe damnit!
Spreading the love to my fellow fans Fans, one gold star at a time
I have some extra tickets for upcoming Dodgers games that I am letting go for less than face value ($20 as opposed to $28-31). All tickets are behind home plate in the Lower Reserve. If you know anyone that is interested, the following games are:
May 5th vs. Mets
May 6th vs. Mets
May 7th vs. Mets
May 11th vs. Astros
May 19th vs. Reds
May 20th vs. Reds
May 21st vs. Reds
I just hooked up a fan who was looking for tickets next Saturday with GoldStar.com She hadn’t heard of them before and was excited to know of a different source besides TicketMaster to get tickets. She, like everyone else I know, HATES TicketMaster.
For those of you who don’t know, Gold Star is a company that offers half price seats (or better, or less than, depending on the show) for popular events around Los Angeles, Orange County as well as a few other major metropolitan areas (New York, etc)
It is free to join and although they do charge a service fee, it is usually WAY less than what TicketMaster would charge.
They also give you weekly updates of cool events that are happening around town. You never know what you are going to get. I have used them several times and end up seeing great stand up comedy (Lisa Lampenelli, Jamie Kennedy) as well as Theater (Geffen Playhouse, Pasadena Playhouse, Dorothy Candler Pavillion) and Sporting Events (Dodgers, Clippers, Kings).
www.goldstar.com to sign up and receive their free services. Hit it up. You’ll thank me!
